Still...

Waiting

EFF

UCK ME its now up to a 37 hour render!! I can preview the video and it looks mint though which is good, but Im really ballsed for time right now - the R&D is nearly done and dusted although I feel its super disjointed, trying to distinguish what was done when Ben was still in the group (RIP) and whats been done seperately, hm!

UPDATE!!

so! back at uni now for awhile after waging war with pig flu and snow, and am almost nearly "maybe before the deadline" finished! Currently stuck with a THIRTY HOUR render as I clearly cocked osmething up - its my first time using 3d studio, so we'll see how it comes out in a bit... hopefully! hopefully upload a few screengrabs later on today, and am then off to record some sound for it. Only worry is that the textures in 3d studio may not look as sketchy as the other areas Ive worked on, and might not fit in, but just have to wait another 10 hours to find out!

Theres something wrong with my...

..chopper.

Added the new helicopter into the old video but with new layers blaaaah, the horizon still looks shit, but its getting there - the helicopters seem a bit too uniform in movement tho, which i suppose theyre meant to be in the army, but we all know that half of them shot eachother down so they clearly werent so great. Im thinking maybe have one shoot past the camera at close range, to make the transition into the next shot? still need to make the sky look less symetrical, and add the floor plane, and remember not to chop the first 5 second off. critical!

After that Im gonna try and make a nice 2/3d city to blow up and fly around in. rad. and maybe go to boots to get some tablets for THE PLAGUE.

Chchchanges

SO Ive been trying to make the scenes Ive meshed together look better by using my own textures the past few days. The original shot of running to the helicopter will now hopefully appear more COOL, as I have used photos of my neighbours gravel (hi tech) foor an actual floor plane, and am trying to create some depth to the shot. However... how the shit do you make 3d propellors spin in 2d?! Im going to try and do a shot of proplleors "flickering" from straight above, then render it out and insert it as a movie, so hopefully the camera will pick it up at an angle? hm!

UPDATE!
Heres a shot of a chopper with properllors, hoorah! Pre-comped it, forgot I could do taht before! Winner, looks pretty sweet, now I need to pop it into a nice 3d world and whack in some dust elements... its currently a toss up between the playpit sand and a dust buster VS video copilot... think Ill start with AE2 stuff, and if I have time itd be useful to have my own stock, but if not.. I can live with that!!
